iCliniq and Protege Partner to Share Physician-Audited Real-World Clinical Datasets with Healthcare AI Innovators

Feb 19, 2025

New York, NY – February 19, 2025 – iCliniq, a US-based global health decisions platform, has entered into a partnership with Protege, the AI training data platform. Through this collaboration, iCliniq’s extensive physician-audited real-world clinical datasets, tailored to enhance ‘reinforcement learning with human feedback’ (RLHF) models, will be available to Protege's healthcare AI partners, enabling them to build and refine AI models for the healthcare industry. This partnership unlocks new opportunities for innovation in areas such as personalized care and clinical decision support.

“The integration of iCliniq’s extensive and diverse physician-audited real-world clinical data with rich sources of labeled, high-quality medical data will provide our healthcare AI partners with the critical foundation to train models that more accurately capture clinical nuances and provider-patient interactions,” said Bobby Samuels, Protege’s CEO and co-founder. “This partnership accelerates our shared mission of advancing AI-driven innovation to enhance patient care and clinical decision-making.”

iCliniq offers an extensive repository of real-world clinical interactions, rigorously reviewed by in-house medical teams. The data spans over 70,000 meticulously curated examples, each representing over 30 minutes of specialist input and rigorous quality control. This substantial investment in data curation guarantees exceptional quality and depth. The use cases for such data are varied; they offer more variability and context than many publicly available QA datasets, as well as more up-to-date and high-quality benchmarking data. iCliniq’s datasets encompass telehealth Q&A content across 80+ specialties, and health articles spanning 40+ categories provide a broader spectrum of clinical interactions, health concerns, and patient demographics. Interestingly, the iCliniq telehealth Q&A are also able to be connected to the patient's clinical record, providing a rich multimodal longitudinal view. Such resources improve AI training by exposing models to a wider range of medical scenarios beyond standardized benchmarks, improving generalizability and reducing biases in medical question-answering systems.

“By providing Protege’s AI partners with access to our extensive physician-audited real-world clinical dataset, we’re equipping them with the real-world clinical insights needed to develop transformative AI solutions,” said Dhruv Suyamprakasam, founder of iCliniq. “This partnership marks a significant step in leveraging conversational healthcare data to drive innovation while maintaining the highest standards of security and patient privacy.”

Protege ensures that any data holder can make their data available to AI builders while maintaining the control, governance, and privacy and security practices needed for their specific data and industry.
